Canterbury Wine School Terms and Conditions

Your booking is not secured until payment has been received.  All courses and tastings must be paid for in advance.

Cancellations in writing of confirmed places are accepted up to 4 weeks prior to the start of the course and the course fee will be refunded in full.

2 – 4 weeks before the course date you may transfer your place to another person or receive a refund voucher which can be credited against any other course within the next six months.

If, for any reason, you are unable to attend within 2 weeks of the course date you may still transfer your place to another person.  No refund voucher will be given.

If you do not attend a booked course or event no refund will apply except under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Canterbury Wine School.

For corporate and private tastings a deposit of 50% is payable 30 days prior to the tasting date.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course or event.  Courses will be refunded in full if Canterbury Wine School changes a course date which is not acceptable to you or cancels a course if enrolments do not reach the required minimum numbers. Notification of such cancellation or change will be made at least one week prior to the scheduled start date of the course.

We expect all attendees to treat our tutors with respect and courtesy.  Anyone whose behaviour is considered disruptive or unacceptable may be asked to leave a workshop, course or event.

We do not serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 18.

Additional conditions applicable to WSET courses

2- 4 weeks prior to the start of the course you may either transfer to another course within the next 6 months or another person or receive a refund.  In each case an administration fee of £25 will be incurred and the cost of study materials already supplied will be deducted from any refund made.

Examination dates are fixed to the course on to which you book and any transfer to an alternative date will incur an administration fee of £25.  All transfer requests must be made in writing or by email (canterburywineschool@gmail.com) at least 10 days before the original examination date.  Transfer requests made within 10 days of the examination date will incur the administration fee and cost of the examination papers ordered via WSET Awards.

In making a booking a WSET student is asked to confirm that he/ she has:

1. read the course specification, read and understood the policy on cancellations, refunds and transfers above
2. understands that he/she is required to present authorised photographic identification at all WSET examinations and may be refused entry to an examination if not produced
3. understands that Canterbury Wine School courses are subject to minimum numbers and that Canterbury Wine School reserves the right to change tutors, reschedule, cancel, close or combine courses if necessary
